Also known as the Ivory Coast, Côte d’Ivoire is a West African country with beach resorts as well as rainforests. Baobab-managed restaurants perform exceptionally well in this region, supported by flexible organogram changes and   extensive engagement with local suppliers and regional adaptation of menus to the local vernacular.

Namibia

The name of this country is derived from the Namib Desert – the oldest desert in the world.  Although an arid region, it is a sought-after safari destination with diverse wildlife. Baobab manages over two dozen stores in the region, with progressive front-of-house introductions, including wi-fi, lobby hosts and digital menu boards.

Botswana

A landlocked country North of South Africa, Botswana is known for the Kalahari Desert and Okavongo Delta playing host to a lush animal habitat. We have introduced a proactive policy towards representation, with women in senior management leadership positions for our stores. We have received Excellence Awards from our brand owners, and our KFC store is recognized in the Brand Health Survey as the Number 1 QSR in the country.

Baobab has a 30-year history in what is officially known as the Kingdom of Lesotho, which has the world’s highest base altitude for any country on earth. From our operations centre in East London that started with three restaurants in 2008, today Baobab manages 16 restaurants in the province.
